part time job...

2 days into the job and I am getting used to the culture in the office....pace is ok, everything is going fine and I'm settling down well...yesterday was my first day...den the boss asked me to drive the company van to queensway to do some colour photocopying and poster printing for the upcoming book fair on 30 May - 8 June...also bargained my way thru to save costs...the van that I drove (which the boss use to drive home) there is one of the slowest among the 3 i guess...bcos the pickup is very slow..think i cycle faster also...lol...by the time I returned to office, time was ard 2.15pm den i scrambled to the canteen nearby to buy lunch and ate in the office....first day nothing much, since everything is new...just walk here and there in the office, asking around who needs help loh...

anyway, when one of the guys go off end of this month, I going to take over him and the van which he is driving home now...haha..think the boss will apply the season parking for me and I can drive home the vehicle...no more transport woes....hoping for that day to come.....

this morning, first thing I did was to fetch my boss to work...i didnt drove the vehicle home..its another colleague who is a foreigner did it bcos my boss wants him to familarise with the vehicle and way home as during the fair, those who know how to drive (only me and him) will ferry pple home...but he didnt feel well this morning so I took over him loh...den today also learnt a lot of things like how to packing of stuff/labelling for the book fair....

during the period of the fair, my boss wun be ard as she got something to attend to in america... out of 2 who knows how to drive, one of them is a foreigner...so if stocks run out, I will need to return to office to replenish them....den everyday have to fetch and send those who live near me to suntec also...the fair start at 10am and end at 10pm..so i have to leave home ard 8am to fetch pple and will reach home probably near midnitz by the time i send them home...

Found a part time job loh!!!!

I found a part time job that could last me through the holidays loh!!! It wasn't really difficult as I mass emailed the employers who were looking for part-timers compared to the other time where I had several interviews before I got a job..

This job is pretty simple, starting next thurs...Its a company dealing with children's magazine at Bt merah:

So when people place an order, we will pack the magazines accordingly (the gals there will do the job mostly) and do the delivery (guys bcos the mag are quite heavy), and majority of the orders are from primary school, maybe a few from popular...working days is mon to fri 9am to 6.30pm...

There is also a book fair coming up end of this month, which I am expected to help out selling the mag or helping to replenish the stock...will last 10 days from 30 may to 10 June, 10am-10pm at suntec...can come visit me and surprise me if u want..haha...

The boss is a very nice person, who throughout the interview, was like more of a fren than an employer...she was telling me how his son went thru the aerospace interview at NTU, without any prep, being asked qns like what is the difference btw aerospace and aeronautical, what you want to do after graduation (even the interviewers dun know as it is a new course and the first batch has not graduate)..den now his son left to study medicine overseas...also talked about what I am going to be in the future (teacher), how I got thru the MOE interview, what benefits I have as an award holder...etc....it lasted ard an hour i think...more of like getting to know you more...

meanwhile still working at my uncle's place (near sim lim square) doing delivery coming friday and next tue/wed...get to drive van, lorry...lorry easier to park but van easier to drive bcos the biting point is easier to grasp...but driving both is fun! and time flies....

Its finally holidays now after another round of exams...3 months long..with a 1 week reservist coming in 3 weeks time...school will start in early aug...and I have started to find a job...most prob admin job....recently helping out my uncle (1 day or 2) doing delivery...not a very tough job but u have to how the place well in order not to get lost......and time flies when you are driving...and the day ends in a blink of the eye...

Meanwhile, I am still exercising regularly...badminton at least once a week, jogging at least twice a week, push ups, crunches at least twice a week....and waiting for the weights (I intend to buy dumbbells to train) to replenish...I waited like 3 months liao for the online store to restock their goods...its really cheap and I believe it is the lowest in Singapore...they sell all sorts of nutrition products/supplements, weights, yoga stuff etc....can check it out... http://www.nutritionpark.com/healthfitness/index.np

After holidays when school start, I will miss my freshie days...going to year 2 in uni liao...3 more years to go plus 1 more year in NIE b4 I step out as a teacher...by the time I will be old liao (26?)...time really flies la...

And all my cousins have grown up...some going to secondary school in 2 years time...

this is the youngest one...just 3 months old....so cute!!!..always kicking and smiling away...
