Must-go-events on 2 & 3 Sep...

If u intend to slack all day in your house on 2 & 3 Sep, why don't make a visit to the RSAF openhouse or comex computer fair to join in the fun?

For computer savvy people, the comex show will be one that u will not want to miss becos for the first time, it has relocated herself from suntec to expo halls 4, 5 & 6. Imagine the scale of the event. In a bid to accommodate more people, organisers have broadened the walkway so that people will not have to compete for space. Thus, it is one of the biggest computer fair with the latest IT gadgets, digital products and consumer electronics...

For the masses, the air force has also increased the scale of her openhouse this year with an unprecedented choreographed aerial display of F-16, apache helicopters and chinhooks. Those who want to keep memories of the openhouse in the form of photos can visit the static display where u can feast your eyes on the lastest inventory of the RSAF. Also, the SAF music and drama company and Singapore Youth Flying Club will be bringing u various performances. For the lucky ones, u can hitch a ride on the F-50, CH-47, C-130 and have a unforgettable and exciting experience flying above Paya Lebar Airbase! Of course, the air force museum, flight simulator centre will be opened to the public for viewing.

What I want to do after ORD...

If I'm not wrong, my matriculation into NUS will be somewhere next year in April, 5 months after my ORD. 5 months may seem long but actually it itsn't. Like my 2 years in NS, time passed very quickly, leaving less than 90 days to ORD....

One of the things I definately going to do is to look for a part-time job. Eg: Teaching tuition, doing packaging stuff, distributing flyers, work in sim lim etc. I have got to save up for my university expenses such as transport, food, study materials and at the same time managing my personal expenses.

Another important aspect will be focusing on my driving test on 5 dec, which coincidentally falls on my second anniversary. Speaking of it, I will review the assessment checklist, test routes, my common mistakes etc. Maybe I will rent/borrow a car on the day if I pass for my anniversary..haha

When I have the free time, I will do clean and tidy my whole room, especially the cupboards which are filled with my A level stuff. Basically, I will clear away the old used notes and my study area.

Last thing, I will keep a look out for scholarship offers that are related to science probably. I tried to apply last year but was too slow and the date for application has closed. This year I have to compete with people born in the year of dragon and competition is going to be tough...

Happy Hour!!!

Just last Monday around 4pm, all the specialists of keat hong camp gathered at the brigade auditorium to witness the change of appointment of the brigage RSM. It was a joyous yet solemn occasion as the outcoming RSM take on a more challenging role as a ATI RSM while the incoming RSM prepares to take up the role of 8SAB RSM...

Tributes were paid to the outgoing RSM in the form of a presentation in the form of photos of him at various stages of his army life, from his days of BMT to his glorious days of a Brigade RSM....

After that, we proceeded to the spec mess for a sumptuous dinner buffet with free flow of beer. A live band called 'The unexpected' were invited to perform for us. There were two guitarists, one male and female who entertained us with their voices and beautiful strumming. The girl had a beautiful voice while the guy was superb in his guitar plucking and strumming....

The highlight of the day was the performance by 'The devil's girl'. They were scantily dressed as they served us beer and danced to the music. 4 of them I believed should be working as a dancer in disco, clubs as they danced really well. The guys around were captivated by the girls as they danced. Some guys even danced with the girls and took off their shirt....

The event really gave me a chance to relax and enjoy myself. I am sure all the guys will want another happy hour like this something before ord...
