My primary sch years in Bt. Batok

When i was in Primary 5, i moved my hse to Bt. Btaok bcos it is near my grandmother's hse and studied in Keming Pri..From a talkative guy, i became quite as there was a total change of environment, especially in school wher i didnt know anybody...I remembered there were 3 pupils including me who were new to the school...slowly, i opened up and enlarged my social circle..

I could recall that there was a hydroponics farm wher i grew my veggies..i would visit the farm every now and then to see if the nutrients level was adequate and was really excited on the day of harvest..i brought home a plastic full of veggies and thought it would be enough for us to eat for the entire week...In the end, the veggies shrank by dunno how many times and there weren't enough for my whole family to consume..haha...

I also participated in the 100m event in P5 and got second position...Sad to say, i came in last when i participated in the 100m event in P6 as i fell down close to the finishing line...i cried after that bcos i was so close to a medal..since then i didnt participate in track and field as i didnt want the same scenario to happen again...

I was a mischievous boy as time goes by..would usually go Bt. Timah plaza wif my younger brother to play arcade, buy computer games, yoyo, digimon, thus neglecting our studies...really regret it now....

During the P5 camp, I missed home so much that i fell sick on the first day...there my frenz had a week of fun while i stayed at home to recuperate..also whenever i have sore eyes, my grandmother would bring me to the swimming pool. ...magically, the salty water will cure the redness in my eyes....

I was not really shocked when i received my PSLE results...got 208 that will just qualify me for a low-end express stream sch...still rem my choice of sch:
1) Bt. panjang
2) Swiss cottage
3) Bt. Batok
4) Dunearn
5) Hong kah
6) Yusoff Ishak

got into the school of my 5th choice..wher some of my fren worked hard during the exam period and got into Bt. Panjang...My teachers lamented that i had the potential of performing well but i dissappointed them...

Besides, i was a sci. craze at that time..i brought almost all the young scientist cards and completed them...In the end my class was ranked 3rd for completing the most no. of scientist cards...haha...i also volunteered myself to teach the lower pri. pupils kids phonics and was involved in story-telling..

Now, i rem a girl that would pinch me everytime she sees me...i was so paranoid such that whenever i entered the school I will look out for her...haha..there was one bright and hardworking girl who was also a new student like me..once she told me this: "I hoped that u will work hard and perform well or even better then me" Her words were encouraging but i didnt take it seriously...as time pass, i seem to have a liking for her. I wrote her a letter and posted it personally in her mailbox...the next day, she asked me why the letter doesn't bear a stamp...i replied her wif a cheeky smile...and during recess i would play wif her and her grp of frenz...but we didn't develop our relationship lah....ahaha

My horoscope

I am an Aquarius.
(Also known as "Water Bearer")

My Horoscope starts like this:

He never returns money he borrows, for immediately upon borrowing it, he spends it and forgets about the debt.

An Aquarius constantly breaks his promises, and hates nothing more than working. (Do I always do so? Those who know me well thinks that i am hardworking....)

People born under this sign love badmouthing and making fun of those that are close to them, but always behind their back.

An Aquarius is drawn to greasy junk food and cheap action novels, both of which he buys in untold quantities. (I dont really like greasy food but i may consider junk food...for novels i dont read them at all)

His vacation is usually spent holed up in some god-forsaken bar, since he has spent all his getaway money on one of his uncounted projects destined to make the world a better place for humanity. (Although I hope for world peace, i dont really go to that such extend)

My childhood years in Yishun

I cant remember vividly much of my childhood experiences before my primary school years. One of the things i can recall is that my mum was carrying my brother under the care of my grandmother. My mum once told me that i was chubby when i was young. But now, i cant seem to gain anymore weight maybe bcos of my high metabolic rate.

Looking back, I see myself visiting the zoo, har par villa, zoo etc but cant seem to recall anything significant. I lived in Yishun Ave 3 back then in a 4 storey HDB flat. I would go for swimming lessons with my younger brother every Sunday before visiting my grandmother in Bt. batok.

YJC resides just across my hse. I went there usually for a stroll, looking for insects, playing catching & soccer with some of my schoolmates. Sometimes after school, i would buy cup drinks from the vending machine within the premises of the college. There was one incident wher i was chased away by one of the staff bcos we were making too much noise..haha

I studied in Jiemin Pri. sch from Primary 1 to 4 of which i took part in the annual althetics meet in Primary 4. I particaipated in 200m and 4x100m relay and came in first place for both events!! Really shocked by my performance....Then i was invited to join the sch's track and field club to represent the school in the national track and field meet for 'D' boys. I came in runner-up in the 4x100m event but failed to get into the final round for the 400m event..just no stamina for the last burst of sprint. Even now, I still cant get gold in 2.4km run..

During Ace's day when i was in Primary 2, I accidentally fell while playing the monkey bar and dirtied my pants. My teacher noticed my muddy pants during the great Singapore workout after flag raising. She brought me to the office and offered me a new pants but i need to wash n return after that. I was really grateful but embarrassed.

Quite often during recess, I would play one leg in the carpark. It is a popular game among the lower Primary students though sometimes we get bullied by bigger boys. For lunch, my mum would give me and my brother $2 each. Every now and then, we would take a 5 mins walk to the KFC at "Chong Pang" to have either fries, whip potato or mash potatoes. Otherwise, we would 'ta pao' at coffee shop and i would buy one red bean bun everyday.

There is a park wher lots of butterflies glide about. I remembered emptying my water bottle, stuffing some small plants and then catching some butterflies in the bottle.

Cant recall clearly whether in Pri 2 or 3 i was caned on the hand by the vice principal for not handling up my work. The vp gave me a choice - hand/backside. Of course i chose my hand lar. I closed my eyes as he lifted up the cane but the it was not as painful as i expected. He said next time if i come again he will whip me hard on the backside. From then now, i handed up my work punctually..hehe

I joined the English society in Pri 4 to play scramble. Thinking back, i copied 2 works about fruits and my little bottle from a magazine and handed in to my teacher. Guess what, my 'works' were published in the school journal!!!

For chinese lessons in Pri 4, I always went over to the next class and i sat beside a gal whom i was quite conversant with. Dunno why, always kena caught by teacher talking to her..haha. My chinese teacher ask me to continue reading the passage, explain the phrase or write some words. Failing which i will stand for rest of the lesson which i always do so..The gal frequently ridicule that she is taller den me..dunno why..My gf now always want to compare ht wif me also...Quite a coincidence, the gal is in the same hse. During hse meetings i would fetch her from her hse and hold her hands while walking..quite silly right? haha..both of our frenz also tease us at times...haiz..after i moved to batok, i lost contact wif her...

Really missed all those times i had while i was living in Yishun...Some memories were so sweet and hard to forget....
