At the Crossroads once again...
Blame it on my indecisiveness or peer influence if you want to ask why I'm in a dilemma over which course to study in University. Faculty of Science or School of Engineering? I was so afraid that I would make the wrong choice, end up in a wrong course and get into a career which I have no interest in.
When the idea of changing courses struck me 2 weeks ago, it left me in a state of confusion and I could not sleep well on some days. I consulted a few who are currently studying in University.
One who studies Electrical Engineering in NTU says that the prospect is great especially if u specialise in wafer technology. I even access the NTU e-portal to view what the Electrical Engineering students are studying - The course contents Eg: Analogue electronics, digital electronics etc. The point of prospect is again supported by my gf, who showed me the materials she got from a recent career fair. It clearly shows that Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering are favourites among the companies and they have great prospects and a bright future.
The other friend of mine who is studying Science in NUS says that what she studies very theoretical and the prospect varies depending on what u specialise in. Nevertheless, I still find my passion lying in Chemistry.
After due consideration, I felt that it was better for me to fall back on what I was offered initially and put my heart and soul in it.
